‘Les bitlles catalanes’ is a traditional sport of the Catalan culture that is in falling into disuse. This project aims to make a claim for the tradition, giving visibility to the most social part of the game to reach the younger population. Fem Bitlla consists of a web platform and a mobile application.
One of the main objectives of the platform is to give visibility to local artisans. Being a minority practice, the physical game can be purchased in very few commercial establishments. Fem Bitlla wants to create a space for turners bitlles manufacturers and promote the continuity of the trade and local trade. Also, Fem Bitlla wants to create a community among those users who know the game but do not necessarily practice it at a sporting level.
